The Singapore Zoo is a very cool destination for sightseeing as well as weekend or holiday experience for locals. It is worth going to the zoo as you may not have seen a zoo like this before. Visiting the zoo in Singapore is rather like stalling through the rainforest, looking for animals. The do not seem to be prisoners of the zoo, but most of the animals enjoy natural circumstances rather than "cages" as ist is in many other zoos. Especially the primates have lots of space to move, which is appreciated.
Therefore, it is not the cheapest visit. Providing a nice atmosphere for the animals is costly. The general entrance fee is 35 SGD. But there is a reduction if you buy your ticket online. In addition to the price discount, one can skip the line. So there is no reason for queuing up.
There are many and regular feeding times for the animals, which is a good way to see all animals in action.
In addition the zoo offers some specials, such as having breakfast with Orang-Utans, which is probably not the most natural behavior of these animals and therefore, should not be supported
anyway.
For enjoying a beautiful walk through the nature - seeing some nice animals - the visit of the zoo can be recommended.
